The journey of creating this album is deeply rooted in the relationships and creative processes that brought it to life. Bala and I met about five years ago, and our connection over music quickly turned into a strong friendship. While I recorded in Houston, Bala crafted beats in Dallas, and our collaboration flourished despite the distance.

The second half of the album took a new direction when I started recording in the TOMONOSHi! Design Studio. This change in environment significantly influenced the music, adding a fresh perspective to our sound. I wrote most of my verses in my Porsche, during bike rides, or kung fu sessions, finding inspiration in the movement and solitude.

Nathan, our engineer, played a crucial role in shaping the Lou Kang sound. His consistent presence in our sessions ensured a cohesive and polished final product. Nathan and I worked closely together, restructuring songs in nontraditional ways, always striving for a great edit. Bala's meticulous production, combined with Nathan's engineering, created a authentic and harmonious sound that defines Lou Kang.
